Soundproof enclosure for industrial fan in production facility

Recently, we delivered a custom soundproof enclosure for an industrial fan installed in a production facility. During the engineering phase, it became clear that the expected noise level could exceed local regulations. To ensure compliance and maintain a safe and comfortable working environment, targeted noise reduction was required.

Custom-engineered solution

Based on the fan’s technical specifications;  airflow, pressure, motor rating and installation layout, we designed a tailor-made acoustic enclosure. Key considerations included:

  • Required noise reduction in dB(A)

  • Available installation space

  • Maintenance accessibility

  • Indoor industrial application

The acoustic panels provide high attenuation across a wide frequency range, effectively reducing both low and high frequencies.

Forced ventilation inside the enclosure

As this project involved a higher-powered fan, the enclosure was equipped with forced ventilation. An additional axial fan was installed behind a splitter silencer to prevent heat build-up inside the enclosure and ensure reliable operation.

The enclosure panels are fitted with quick-release fasteners, allowing easy access for inspection and maintenance.

Alternative noise control solutions

In addition to full acoustic enclosures, we also supply separate silencers for the inlet and/or discharge side of industrial fans. Depending on the project conditions, this can be an effective alternative when space is limited or when only specific noise sources need to be reduced.

For this project, a full enclosure provided the most effective overall noise reduction.
