Ventinet visits MCE in Milan: ready for the new ERP regulation

Last week, Ventinet visited MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort in Milan. This international trade fair is widely recognised as one of the most important meeting points within the HVAC industry, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers and professionals from across Europe and beyond.

For us, this visit was a valuable opportunity to reconnect with partners and industry contacts, follow the latest market developments up close, and confirm that our fan solutions are still aligned with the direction the European market is moving in. Especially now that energy performance requirements are becoming more demanding, it is important not only to keep up, but to stay ahead.

New ERP regulation takes centre stage

During MCE, one topic clearly stood out across the exhibition floor: the new ERP Regulation (EU 2024/1834), which comes into force in Europe this year. This regulation introduces stricter requirements for the energy efficiency and performance of fans placed on the European market.

It was one of the main talking points throughout the event. Nearly all leading fan manufacturers placed strong emphasis on this subject. That is no surprise, as energy efficiency continues to play an increasingly important role within the HVAC sector. Not only because of legislation, but also because end users, consultants and installers are placing greater focus on performance, efficiency and long-term reliability.

For companies working with fans in industrial, commercial and technical applications, product selection is increasingly linked to efficiency requirements, noise levels, reliability and compliance with European standards.

Confirmation that we are on the right track

For Ventinet, it was especially valuable to see confirmed during the event that we have taken the right steps in the development of our product range over the past few years.

All centrifugal and axial fans that we place on the European market fully comply with the new ERP requirements. This means our customers can continue to rely on fan solutions that are not only technically strong, but also ready for the latest regulatory demands.

This is not the result of a short-term adjustment, but of a longer-term development process in which performance, efficiency and continuous product improvement have been central.

More than 5,000 tests in our own AMCA laboratory

Reaching this point required a significant amount of development and testing. Over the past year, more than 5,000 tests were carried out within our production environment in our own AMCA-certified laboratory.

This testing phase was essential to ensure that our fans not only comply with the new requirements on paper, but also continue to deliver in real-world applications. Areas such as efficiency, aerodynamic performance, sound levels and suitability for a wide range of markets and installations were all carefully evaluated.

That combination is key. A fan should not only meet legislation, but also perform reliably in day-to-day use. In practice, this means customers need solutions they can depend on in terms of performance, consistency and long-term usability.

For our customers, this translates into fan solutions developed with both technical performance and changing market requirements in mind.

A new generation of axial impeller

Alongside the ERP developments, product innovation was also an important topic. Significant investment has been made in the development of a new generation of axial impeller, designed to deliver higher efficiency and lower noise levels.

From this year onwards, this new impeller will become the new standard within our product range. It marks another step forward in further improving the performance of our axial fan solutions.

For many applications, these developments make a real difference. Especially where energy consumption, noise reduction and efficient air movement are key factors, this type of innovation has a direct impact in practice.

Valuable conversations and a clear direction for the future

In addition to the technical developments and product innovations, MCE was above all a valuable opportunity to speak with partners and industry contacts. International trade fairs like this provide a clear view of the themes currently shaping the market and where the sector is heading in the years ahead.

For us, this visit was therefore more than just a chance to explore the market. It was a strong confirmation that, as a company, we are ready for the next step towards a more energy-efficient and future-proof ventilation market.

We look back on an inspiring visit to Milan, valuable conversations and a clear confirmation that our product range and development direction are aligned with the future of the industry.
