Changes to Efficiency class of electric motors

New Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) legislation in Europe as of July 1, 2021

From July 1, 2021, new legislation regarding Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) applies throughout Europe. These stricter rules have a direct impact on the efficiency class of electric motors used in our fans.

What is changing?
From this date onward, all new installations must comply with the new MEPS requirements. This applies not only to standard electric motors but also to ATEX motors and Smoke Exhaust motors. Additionally, motors controlled by variable frequency drives now also fall under the new regulations.
