Centrifugal fans

A centrifugal fan – also known as a scroll fan or radial fan – is the ideal solution when you need to move (lightly to heavily contaminated) air or materials over longer distances or under high pressure. Think of industrial processes, commercial kitchens, technical installations or machinery. With a smart design and robust performance, our centrifugal fans are suitable for both standard and demanding environments.

What is a centrifugal fan?

A centrifugal fan (also called a radial fan) draws air in at the center and forces it outward at a right angle through a rotating impeller. This creates higher pressure than axial fans.

This makes them ideal for:

  • Industrial ventilation systems
  • Duct systems with high resistance
  • Applications requiring sound attenuation or filtration
  • Extracting air with dust, fumes, or grease (e.g. in kitchens or workshops)
  • Extracting air at elevated temperatures

Different types of centrifugal fans

We offer various models, each tailored to specific applications:

  • High-pressure fans – for systems with significant resistance
  • Compact duct fans – easy to integrate in technical rooms
  • Explosion-proof models (ATEX) – certified for ATEX zones with explosion risk
  • Low-noise models – with soundproof enclosures for noise-sensitive environments

Why choose our centrifugal fans?

  • Certified quality and long-lasting materials
  • Suitable for industrial and commercial use
  • Available in various capacities and mounting configurations
  • Complete documentation and tailored technical advice

Our advisors are happy to help you find the right fan.

Frequently asked questions about centrifugal fans

What’s the difference between a centrifugal and an axial fan?

An axial fan blows air straight ahead and is suitable for high airflow at low pressure. A centrifugal fan builds more pressure, making it ideal for longer ductwork or systems with filters. View our axial fans for high-volume applications.

Yes, many of our models come in weather-resistant versions with a high IP rating – suitable for rooftop or outdoor technical spaces.

Our centrifugal fans are available in coated steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, plastic, stainless steel 304, or stainless steel 316

Absolutely. Take a look at our explosion-proof fans, certified according to the latest ATEX standards.

That depends on the model and application. We offer acoustic enclosures for fans used in sound-sensitive environments such as schools, offices, or healthcare facilities.
